Home made chocolate cookies make a superb christmas treat with a pinch of cinnamon added. |
I suppose I organise this because I think how ironic that
Christmas has become so commercial. It’s odd how much pressure we all put
ourselves under to tell someone we think that they are special by buying
unwanted, needless and Christmas gifts for the sake of it and more often than
not spending money we can’t really afford in the first place!
So I say not this year. Lets make it
something really special and Lets Make Christmas instead. here are some idea's from the 2011 Lets Make Christmas event.
Bloggers are naturally creative people who
more often than not do things their way, so if you have a Christmas gift idea
you’d love to share please join and I’ll do round up in 2 weeks .. or so.. so
please email your entries in to me and pop the 2012 badge up on your site, and the top three favourite entires made of Chocolate will win a prize from Rococo Chocolates.
Must dash or I will miss my train!
Added on 1st December the video I took .....
You must share your recipe and blog about your gift using the Let's make Christmas Logo in the blog post.
You may enter up to 3 recipes
Prizes will be sent directly to the winners. If you win you will need to your your address to
All decisions by the judge are final and there are no cash or product alternatives.
All gifts must be hand made, and credit the recipe to the author if appropriate and ask permission to recreate a recipe if it by another author.
Please tweet back to the round up so everyone can share their recipes.

Gutted I couldn't make this afternoon's event. As well as the chance to meet up with everyone, it would have been such a great opportunity to see where all that fabulous chocolate gets made, to meet Chantal and to get my hands on a copy of her book. So, thank you for doing a virtual version and I will see what chocolatey creations I can come up with anyway.
ReplyDeleteHope you all have a wonderful time of it today.

I'm so pleased you've done this. I so wanted to come today but couldn't re-arrange a school pick up for this afternoon. I'll definitely be entering something - chocolate is my favourite! I've just ordered the new Rococo book and can't wait for it to arrive!

ReplyDeleteOnce again you have come up with a fabulous idea. How marvellous to share the spirit of Let's Make Christmas with everyone.
It was such a wonderful afternoon. I'll look forward to this round up in a couple of weeks.
Thanks for all your marvellous work

What a sensational idea - now what can I make...... !
ReplyDeleteYAY! I can now enter my recipes, as I was not able to attend! Great idea! Karen
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry I was unable to make it to the event, I had made my gifts but 12yo ended up in A&E after skidding on black ice and falling off her bike on her way to school. She is fine but we were very worried about her for a few hours. I shall blog the recipes I had made for the gift swap and join in the linky. Thank you so much for organising both the inperson and virtual events x
ReplyDeleteI was so disappointed not to be able to come on Friday but work got in the way. An excellent idea to have a Virtual Version. Thank you Vanessa.
ReplyDeleteI was so sad not to be able to come to your lovely day! This virtual event is a great idea Vanessa!
ReplyDeleteFinally managed it - phew!. Was hoping to do more than one entry, but at least I've got this one in now! Have made other chocolates but post won't be appearing for a few days.
